Corvus Reports 92% Average Gold Recovery Using AAO From All Sulfide Rock Types, North Bullfrog Project, NV
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - June 21, 2017) - Corvus Gold Inc. ("Corvus" or the "Company") - (TSX:KOR)(OTCQX:CORVF) announces complete results of the first phase of testing of the Atmospheric Alkaline Oxidation (AAO) method of oxidizing sulfide mineralization for low cost cyanide gold extraction (Table 1). The results indicate the AAO method for oxidizing sulfide material could result in overall gold recoveries of +90% from all of the potential sulfide mineralized rock types at the North Bullfrog Project (including: Sierra Blanca tuff, Pioneer Formation tuff, Dacite and Rhyolite). The sulfide metallurgical recoveries are similar to the oxidized milled material recoveries in the current production plan. The estimated additional operational cost to the mill ore for the AAO process would raise the mill cutoff grade to approximately 0.65 g/t. The current North Bullfrog resource model has several areas of sulfide mineralization within and immediately adjacent the mine excavation identified by Whittle Optimization at sufficient grade to be potentially processed using the AAO process.
